Her relationship with her charming young grand daughter, Zarina is very volatile. Zarina is traditional at heart, vulnerable and compassionate.

The script is a reflection of changing face of India from pre-independence days to its current state through Begum Jaan’s eyes and that every person has covered himself with various layers.
